ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard which is awarded to companies who can demonstrate a proven Environmental Management System.

We take the environmental impact of our operations very seriously and in January 2011 LSi Ltd is proud to have achieved this international standard for our Environmental Management System. As part of the ISO accreditation process, we identified aspects of our business which impact the environment, established objectives for improvement and defined a management programme to achieve those objectives.

Environmental Awareness

The way we treat our environment is becoming increasingly important. How we live our lives impacts upon on the Earth both on a global and local level. Since 1992 there have been two 'Earth Summits' which looked at the problems facing our planet as a whole, such as alleviating poverty, climate change and rainforest destruction. However, it has also been acknowledged that small, local actions by all of us at work and at home can play their part in making measurable improvements and in showing appreciation and respect for our local environment.

Climate Change

Tackling climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time and whilst LSi cannot change the world, we can certainly make our own contribution, no matter how small. If we all make a small change, we can make a big difference.

Today we are still committed to meet the requirements of our clients, as well as legal and regulatory obligations and look for continual development of the system to ensure it remains effective.

All personnel within the company are responsible for the quality of their work. The company provides training and has established systems to assist all personnel to achieve the standards required. While we endeavour to produce work and offer a service that we can be proud of, we have to recognise that we don’t always achieve our own standards. We appreciate problems do occur and any issues arising are fully investigated and reported to ensure the best possible outcome. When and where necessary, procedures are put in place to prevent further instances occurring.
