How time flies, it seems like only two minutes since we celebrated the end of 2018 but looking back its been another challenging but memorable and rewarding year here at LSi.
25th Anniversary On the 17th November 2019, LSi turned 25 years old. From humble beginnings back in 1994, when Lloyd Simpson (MD) first set up the family business at Haley House, Cleckheaton, LSi had now grown to one of the most prominent merchandise companies in the UK.
To celebrate this milestone, Lloyd held a Gala Dinner at Aspire in Leeds where employees, friends and family suppliers and a selection of customers were invited to enjoy the night's festivities.
Page Award LSi was voted Silver in the Page Distributor of the Year awards again this year. The annual awards bring together over 40 distributors and 80 suppliers to the Page Partnership. This is 12th consecutive year that LSi have won either silver or gold at the awards.
The Print Works We’ve expanded our print and laser operation yet again with more machinery, more stock and more staff. We’ve also made massive advancements on personalisation and software applications with some of our major retail clients, which will have a positive knock on effect for the rest of our client base in 2020.
Children in Need In order to support Children in Need, this year your promotional heroes came into work in fancy dress or their pyjamas and participated in the annual office Olympics. Altogether we managed to raise an impressive £280 for charity.
New Starters This year we have welcomed several new staff members to the LSi team. Jenny took over as Accounts Controller, Louis started in Sales Support, Sarah in Admin, Matty as a Digital Print Operator and George joined the Artwork team.
Exhibitions To promote our Think Inside The Box range we exhibited at a number of exhibitions including Marketing Week Live, Football and Rugby Trade Directory Networking Event, Brand Yorkshire and The Sports Merchandise and Licensing Show. All of which were huge successes.
The LSi Treasure Hunt Instead of our annual rounders match, this year we headed to Leeds to take part in an app-based treasure hunt that had the teams heading to different locations, completing tasks and purchasing unique items.
2019 was a great year for LSi, but we can’t wait to see what the new year and decade will bring!
